play station 2 guitar

When I was a kid back in the turbulent '60s, s, like most of my peers I used to hang around in bars of different varieties of coffee that were around town, and I would feed the jukebox that has always stood in the corner.

Formerly, the unspoken word that coffee everyone in the store take their turn to feed the jukebox, and in doing so, you announcing to the world (or at least those in the coffee) what kind of music you've enjoyed listening.

I remember I used to stay up in the coffee about 9 or 10pm every night (in those days entertainment options were rather limited) and then I go to my room and tune into Radio Luxembourg.

Does you remember Radio Luxembourg? It was a well known and so loved, the radio station.

There were many radio stations throughout the 1960s, and many of them were stationed in large vessels. I do not remember the names of stations or ships now, but if any reader can then remember it please let me know.

I can not remember now whether Radio Luxembourg was a ship, or if it was based on land, Luxembourg. Again, if anyone can enlighten me would be appreciated.

Well, it was while I was listening of these radio stations that I first got a "taste" for the guitar. Somehow it seemed to resonate with my soul and I just loved listening to any record which he had a guitar solo in it.

Just as I loved the guitar, I never considered playing for myself, that is, not until a rather curious event occurred.

Those of you familiar with the road network in Britain, know that we have many roundabouts on our roads. They are designed to help the flow traffic without stopping it as it comes with fire. They are literally one big circle located at the intersection of two roads, and they often have a small area of grass in the middle to improve appearance.

Well one day I was on my bike (I was too young for a car of the time) and about a mile from my house, I came across a roundabout and there, sitting in the middle of the roundabout was a friend of mine who was happily strumming on his guitar.

All the cars that passed could not help but notice him, it was such an unusual sight here in the middle of a roundabout. It was like being on stage in the middle of the road!

I sat with him for an hour or two, and I just I wanted a guitar out and start playing.

But what started me on the track where I have never turned back. I saved furiously until I have enough money to go buy my own guitar, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Over the years I played in several groups, and made music around the world, but I never forgot that "roundabout experience.

Now I spend my time teaching others to play the guitar and how to find their own roundabout to sit.
