I need help on how to play guitar tabs?

Well if I need help learning how to play tabs guitar. I know all the basics and everything, but I just want to know how to listen the tabs. I do not think I understood so clearly on those they I get confused .. So, can someone help me on how to play?

Hey there. The tabs are a lot easier to play than watch! Alright, a tab is as follows: e :——————————– — B: — ——————————— G ——- :——– ——————– D :——————— ————– A :———————————- – E :———————————– Or very similar to something. Not all tabs have the e, b, g, and thus away, far left, but some do. However, each line represents a string on your guitar. The top row shows the high "e" or the thinnest string on your guitar, while the bottom line is the "e" low "or thickest string on your guitar. Got it? Now, you will often see the numbers on each line. When you see a number, you play this on the freight row. For example, take a look at the introduction of "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple: e ——- :————————— ——- B ——- :———————————- G: — 0 —- 3 —– 5 —- 0 —- 3 —– 6 —- 5 D: — 0 —- 3 —– 5 —- 0 —- 3 — —- 6 —- 5 ———————– A :————— —- E ——————— Search :——————— complicated ? Do not worry, it is not! You see how the G and D lines have the number "0"? A 0 represents a string "open" if you want to play both strings at the same time without worrying about anything. So you'd play the third fret on both channels simultaneously, then the 5th box, and so on. So basically, each line represents a string on the guitar, and each number represents a fret. Simple enough, right? You can also see the letters in the tabs, which represent the different techniques you use while playing the note. For example: e :———– 6b ——————— B :—– 5 —- 5h6 ——– 9p8 ——- G :————————– —– —- D :———————————– TO: — —– E —————————- :————— —– ————— So to this tab, you're worried about the 5th fret on the B string, pluck, FRET, then the box on the 6th E string and bend up the chain once you Pluck (b = Bend). Then you worry about the 5th fret on the B chain, and "hammer" for the 6th fret (h = hammer), and finally to the "9p8" part worry about the 9th fret, then do a pull-off on the eighth fret (p = pull off) are the most basic ones. If something like E: — 6 ~~~~—————————— you can use the whammy bar, and so result. Hope that helps! If you have any questions, please me at msn krhull@msn.com message or email me.
