Walking the Bass Guitar Books?
I play bass in the orchestra and jazz band, and I need to learn how to play a bass line walking (for jazz band), I was going to get a book, but also online sites might be useful too. I do not know if this means something, but in my music there are letters slightly above the slashes in bars like G major 7th or something like that. I greatly appreciate any contribution that you have. Thank you
The symbols that you see above or in the moat are the chord symbols are: Cmaj7, D-7 (d minor 7th) G7 (G dominant 7th). At this stage it seems that you need to find a teacher of theory, but check out "Chords and Progressions" by Bugs Bower-pub by Chas. Colin. Also check any books by Rufus Reid, Ray Brown, Eddie Gomez, or talk to Dave Santoro The Hartford (Ct.) Academy of the Arts .. maybe Online?
